The Helios 5F leather firefighting glove combines the highest protective properties with a high degree of sensitivity. The robust, yet supple, Fire Block leather offers high flame and water resistance and shows no shrinkage (0 % according to ISO 17493/EN 659, although a maximum of 5 % would be permissible) even at the highest heat. The backhand and palm made of Heat Block Nappa leather provide the best grip and excellent sensitivity. The anatomical, fire-resistant knuckle protector provides absolute impact and shock protection. It also protects the back of the hand from heat and injuries. In the palm, Fire Block leather reinforcement provides additional protection. The revolutionary multi-layer cut protection lining made of Kevlar®/Inox/LCP gives the Helios 5F high-performance protection against cuts and sharp edges. Thanks to the GORE-TEX CROSSTECH® Grip Insert, the Helios 5F protects against wetness, chemicals, oil, petrol, blood and viruses – while maintaining maximum breathability. The revolutionary new flap cuff solution allows the glove to be ideally fixed over the jacket or the knitted cuff version can be optimally worn under the jacket. All maximum mechanical and thermal values are achieved both when new and after a pre-treatment of 20 washes at 30° C. The insertion of the lining, the fixation of the insert and the connection with the outer shell are carried out according to the proven process patented by ESKA, in order to permanently prevent unwanted pulling out of the lining. The anatomical, layered 3D cut is adapted to the natural posture of the hand to guarantee the best possible fit and freedom of movement. We rely exclusively on European materials that are subject to strict quality control in Austria.
